Questions and Answers about Religion

March 21, 2018
Kevin Campbell, DD

Before you begin, please clear your mind and remove all emotional reactions.  I encourage you to take your time and study this entire blog page and the supporting videos at the end.  Take your time and keep an open mind.  Don't prejudge anything.  If you disagree, then find the truth you feel you need.  I have completed my research and this is my personal review of the facts I have discovered. So please take time and reflect on each bit of information shared.

Indoctrination is powerful, especially if you have been indoctrinated since you were a small child.  I too was indoctrinated with religious myth at a young age and when I discovered the facts through my own theology studies, it was difficult to deal with.  I do have concerns when religion is taken literally and used to solicit, misguide or divide people. Worst of all, if it preaches hate leading to hatred of other people and even war.  It's despicable.

These are questions I asked before making the decision to study divinity as a young man attending seminary and receiving my doctorate and then becoming ordained as a minister with Calvary Grace Ministries.   The information provided below is the result of my journey through the academic study of religion, my discoveries, and the reasons why I came to the conclusion that all religion had to be man made with a sprinkle of truth borrowed from profits of the past.

There is a quote I find somewhat accurate knowing what I understand about the modern corporate churches of today.  It seems "Man created God in his own image".   Those seven words could not be more true today and I will explain why in the information provided in this article.  Many religions seem to have a foundation based on fear and punishment. They were written in a time when stoning witches and sacrificing your first born was commonplace.  Do this or you will be punished or suffer in hell.   This is not the loving natural God I was looking for.  That was the teaching of a psychopathic, evil lunatic.

I have written this blog article in easy to understand terms.  I will make the occasional reference to various religious texts from time to time to make my points more clear, but my intention is to make this an easy read for those seeking a clear understanding of this global deception called religion and what led me to embrace a more personal spiritual self.

This article is not written to offend anyone, it is merely a clarification of my own individual findings as I went through my doctoral studies of christian divinity, and subsequent studies of the other main religions.   I have taken a modern scientific approach to this message so that I can clearly differentiate reality from mythology. I have omitted Jehovah Witness and Mormonism from this text as I wanted to keep my focus on the traditional religions.  However, I did add a video on both below.  Here is an excellent article on the book of Mormon by Alexander Campbell written in 1831...Click Here

I will not be referring to scriptures from the hundreds of fictional or forged books all claiming to be the true word of God in this article.   To do so would require an entire book to be written and would only add more confusion.  I have chosen to use a simple Question and Answer format so that readers can understand each point with clarity. My goal is to encourage critical thinking and your own research.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ABOUT GOD AND RELIGION

Q: Is there a God?
A: I believe in Intelligent Design, but my understanding is not based on what you may believe from current religious teachings.  My view of God the Creator is an intelligent form of consciousness.  An intelligence of unknown origin connecting all life to its conscious source.  I believe God is formless, limitless, all inclusive and eternal. A life force of consciousness that encompasses everything.   God is not the grandfatherly dictator figure as portrayed in religious mythology.  I believe God connects all of us on this earth and when we cross over we return in spirit form to the source.   I will expand on this later in this article and give examples of it through my own experience and others.  Consider this when thinking of God or a Creator.  Could a galactic explosion create intelligent mankind or any of the sophisticated plants and animals on this planet?   It's highly unlikely.  Therefore, the overwhelming evidence proves that something of a higher intelligence had to be the creator and designer of all things. It's not feasible to believe that intelligent life began with a big bang explosion as some scientist theorize.  The complexity of humankind is simply far beyond what any natural event in the cosmos could create. Scientist have proven gene's cannot skip outside their own tree to create completely different species and still be considered natural selection.  The sudden appearance of new species that did not exist on earth before could not have evolved from nothing.  Modern science has disproved evolution and has recently proven intelligent design through genetics. Charles Darwin could not have known in 1857 what modern DNA science would reveal today.  I believe as science discovers more evidence of intelligent design, evolution theory will be removed from textbooks worldwide.

"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful." ~Lucius Annaeus Seneca, Roman philosopher.

Q: What is Intelligent Design?
A:  Intelligent design refers to a scientific research program as well as a community of scientists, philosophers and other scholars who seek evidence of design in nature. The theory of intelligent design holds that certain features of the universe and of living things are best explained by an intelligent cause, not an undirected process such as natural selection. Through the study and analysis of a system's components, a design theorist is able to determine whether various natural structures are the product of chance, natural law, intelligent design, or some combination thereof. Such research is conducted by observing the types of information produced when intelligent agents act. Scientists then seek to find objects which have those same types of informational properties which we commonly know come from intelligence. Intelligent design has applied these scientific methods to detect design in irreducibly complex biological structures, the complex and specified information content in DNA, the life-sustaining physical architecture of the universe, and the geologically rapid origin of biological diversity in the fossil record during the Cambrian explosion approximately 530 million years ago.  Since evolution is flawed based on recent findings, the only acceptable conclusion is that we are the result of intelligent design.

Q: Why are there so many religions and denominations claiming to be the truth?
A: The first truthful answer is they were all written for the purpose of power and control over others. Especially those of less intelligence.  Written by mystics based on stories passed on for generations.   I would like readers to understand the nature of ancient people living in those times when these alleged mythological events took place.   People living in these times used very little critical thinking and were mostly illiterate.   Multiple Gods, witchcraft, and fantastic stories of mythical saviors were quite common as was the belief the earth was flat.  Forgery was also a common practice by scribes in ancient times.

I was troubled to discover from my own studies that the bible I believed in for most of my adult life was not actually written by the authors who allegedly witnessed the story of Jesus.  In fact, in research revealed by bible scholar Dr Bart Ehrman, and by historian Richard Carrier, most of the books of the New Testament were written by Greek scribes and mystics who forged the names of the followers of Jesus, and who lived some 80+ years after the supposed time of Jesus.  And since the followers of Jesus would have spoken Aramaic and were most likely illiterate, it was impossible for me to believe the books could be accurate testimonies of the original disciples, if any of them even existed.  Historians have serious doubts that Jesus existed.   But that is not the purpose of this blog post.

As I continued my research into the other main religions, it was clear to me they all began to repeat similar stories told many times over centuries.   The numerous virgin births of a savior born, a resurrection after three days, numerous healing's and miracles performed.  Many of these stories were repeated going back to the ancient Sumerians in what is now Iraq.

 More interesting similarities:

ATTIS - Phrygia: Born of the virgin Nana. He was both the Father and the Divine Son. He was a savior crucified on a tree for the salvation of mankind. He was buried but on the third day the priests found the tomb empty -- He had arisen from the dead. He followers were baptized in blood, thereby washing away their sins -- after which they declared themselves "born again." His followers ate a sacred meal of bread, which they believed became the body of the savoir.

BUDDAH – INDIA: Born of the Virgin Maya. He was announced by a star and attended by wise men presenting costly gifts. At birth angles sing heavenly songs. He taught in temple at age 12. Tempted by Mara, the Evil One (Satan), while fasting. He was baptized in water with the Spirit of God present. Buddiah healed the sick and fed 500 from a small basket of cakes and even walked on water. He came to fulfill the law and preached the establishment of a kingdom of righteousness and obliged followers to poverty and to renounce the world. He transfigured on a mount. Died (on a cross, in some traditions), buried but arose again after tomb opened by supernatural powers. Ascended into heaven (Nirvana). Will return in later days to judge the dead. Buddiah was called: "Good Shepherd," "Carpenter," "Alpha and Omega," "Sin Bearer," "Master," "Light of the World," "Redeemer," etc.

DIONYSUS - GREECE: Born of a Virgin, placed in a manger. He was a traveling teacher who performed many miracles. Turned water into wine. Followers ate sacred meal that became the body of the god. He rose from the dead March 25th. Identified with the ram and lamb's and was called "King of Kings," "Only Begotten Son," "Savior," "Redeemer," "Sin bearer," "Anointed One," the "Alpha and Omega."

HERCULES – GREECE: Born at the winter equinox of a virgin who refrained from sex with her until her god-begotten child was born and was sacrificed at the spring equinox. He too, was called "Savior," "Only begotten," "Prince of Peace," "Son of Righteousness."

KRISHNA - INDIA: Krishna was born while his foster-father Nanda was in the city to pay his tax to the king. His nativity heralded by a star, Krishna was born of the virgin Devaki in a cave, which at the time of his birth was miraculously illuminated. The cow-herds adored his birth. King Kansa sought the life of the Indian Christ by ordering the massacre of all male children born during the same night at He. Krishna traveled widely, performing miracles -- raising the dead, healing lepers, the deaf and the blind. The crucified Krishna is pictured on the cross with arms extended. Pierced by an arrow while hanging on the cross, Krishna died, but descended into Hell from which He rose again on the third day and ascended into Heaven. (The Gospel of Nicodemus tell of Jesus' descent into Hell.) He will return on the last day to judge the quick and the dead. Krishna is the second person of the Hindu trinity.

HORUS – EGYPT: He came to fulfill the law. Called "RA," the "Anointed One." Born of the virgin Isis in a cave / manger, with his birth announced by a star and attended by three wise men. Earthly father named "Seb" "wink At age 12 he was a child teacher in the Temple and at 30 he was baptized, having disappeared for 18 years. Osiris was baptized in the river Iarutana -- the river Jordan -- by "Anup the Baptizer," who was beheaded. (Anup translates to John.) He performed miracles, exorcised demons, raised El-Osiris from the dead. Walked on water and was betrayed by Typhon, crucified between two thieves on the 17th day of the month of Athyr. Buried in a tomb from which he arose on the third day (19th Athyr) and was resurrected. His suffering, death, and resurrection celebrated each year by His disciples on the Vernal Equinox -- Easter. Called "The Way, the Truth, the Light," "Messiah," "god's Anointed Son,' the "Son of Man," the "Word made Flesh," the "word of truth." Expected to reign a thousand years.

Christianity as I discovered is a copycat religion of previous religions.  In fact, there have been multiple crucified saviors all repeating the same events as the story of Jesus.   As mentioned above, one of the first saviors to be resurrected three days after crucifixion was Horus, born of the virgin mother Isis in Egypt.   The story is repeated multiple times with various savior's.  This was an eye opener for me the deeper I looked down the rabbit hole of history.

More recently, some religious scholars claim Jesus was a Roman hoax.   In reviewing the ancient records and stories, it is clear to me the stories of the religions were used primarily by highly educated men to manipulate and control people and to extract wealth under fear of eternal punishment and damnation for non-compliance.

In a nutshell, the mere fact that hundreds of religious books and versions of books all claiming to be the one true word of God automatically proves that all of them cannot be true and must be a creation of man.

Q: Why do intelligent people support man made, fictional Religions?
A:  As humans, we are all wired to be part of a group or congregation.  The writers of these religious books knew that mankind was gullible and very easy to manipulate if they could satisfy this human desire to congregate.   They also knew if they created specific rules for each religion, they could expand that control and manipulation to include hatred of other groups and wealth accumulation from a growing membership and justification for bizarre rituals, unnatural lifestyles, and even death to certain groups of people.  Some religions created titles to allow some members to promote themselves to a level equal to a God.   It's a very sad story that has deceived millions for thousands of years. Fortunately, Trinity College did a study in 2008 of the no religion population in America and found that from 1990 to 2008, over 20 million people opted out of religion.  Their research showed that over 600,000 people opt out each year.  This is exciting news for the future survival and civility of our planet.   People are coming to their senses and rejecting outdated and divisive religious nonsense and seeking spiritual truth instead.

Q: What is the source of Religion?
A: The research shows that early religion may have begun in India and was based on a single God and that individual souls are immortal. In Christianity, most of the ancient churches had displayed the symbols of the zodiac on early churches and in early versions of the bible. Most of Judaism was actually borrowed from Persian mythology.  The Catholic church especially adopted many of the rituals and symbols of the ancient churches and made many modifications over time.  You will find the Vatican today has many symbols connected directly to Egyptian occult on display in Rome.

When Christianity became the Roman state religion in the fourth century, there were competing pagan religions that practiced magic. The pagan religions were soon prohibited and the prohibitions extended to divination and magic, meaning the end of sanctioned astrology in Christianized Roman society by the fifth century, but with the rediscovery of ancient writings, judicial astrology was back in vogue again around the thirteenth century.

By the sixteenth century the Roman Catholic Church was losing control. Secular education was spreading and there was a growing merchant class. People were losing their superstition, their ignorance, their docility, and their patience.  There had long been questions about the legitimacy of the church - their claim of literal descent from the apostle Peter, and their claim to represent true Christianity. To many scholars the church in Rome had perverted traditional Christianity and was oppressive and corrupt.

Their claim to embody the holy spirit as passed down through succession from the apostles - long debated - and their incorporation of much of the old pagan mysticism led to charges that they themselves were practicing witchcraft.

"The Vatican church, or the Roman Catholic church, has a long history of corruption and deception. Aside from literally committing acts of outright genocide several centuries ago against the Cathars, to sexually abusing children in more modern times, it is certainly one of the most corrupt organizations in history."  Huffington Post.

There is little doubt in my mind that astrology played a big role in the creation of various religions by ancient civilizations.  The historical records and artifacts can easily prove this was the case.   In the study of religion as a whole, scholars can easily verify the connection between astrology and modern theology.

The oldest complete bible in the world is the Ethiopian bible, written 800 years before the KJV in ge'ez, a dead language. It contains 88 books compared to 66. It includes the Book of Enoch, Esdras, Baruch and all 3 Books of Maccabee, and a host of others that were excommunicated from the King James Version. These books include stories of the many gods, their interactions with human beings, and advanced technology. Apocrypha means 'hidden things' in Greek. The Apocryphal books of the Bible fall into two categories: texts which were included in some canonical version of the Bible at some point, and other texts of a Biblical nature which have never been canonical. These books speak openly about beings of flesh from other worlds and their technology, and reincarnation. No wonder they were left out of the bible.

Q: Is there life after death of the body?
A: I believe the soul is immortal and it is eternal.  We are spiritual beings occupying a body. The testimonies from tens of thousands of people has shown that consciousness appears to exist after death.

A team of researchers at Southampton University in England recently conducted one of the largest ever studies about what happens to consciousness after death. The conclusion: We still don't know what happens, but consciousness and awareness appear to linger for sometime after physical death, suggesting that consciousness and the body are entangled actors somehow, and that may unravel and follow separate paths after what we refer to as death.

My own experience as a child has hardened my belief in the eternal soul, and that crossing over in some kind of new dimension is very real.   At the age of nine I was electrocuted in the bathtub from the connection of a live electric wire to the hot water pipe.   I was on my knees washing my hair and when I grabbed the knob to turn on the water, I could feel the current exploding through my body and my father hearing the scream, busted into the bathroom and yanked me out of the tub.  I recall my body was numb.  I could not see anything but a white fuzzy static similar to the white noise you see in between television channels.

My father carried me to his bed while my mother was screaming and urging my father to call the hospital.   I cannot say that I had any visions of a white light or that I could see past family members in heaven or any of the claims we often hear from those with near death experiences.   I can only recall one strange thing. I could hear my mother screaming below me.   I was confused because I knew I was laying down on my back in the bed.  How could I be hearing my mothers voice below me?

This experience that I could never understand led me to research the question everyone asks at one time in their life.  What happens when we die, and is there life after death.   My own experience aside, there has been tens of thousands of NDE testimonies given all around the world to add some credibility to this belief. And with the science beginning to catch up, I believe there is enough evidence to conclude that something does exist after death.  What it is, and how it works I cannot answer, but I do believe there is an existence that crosses over after death.

Between 1993 and 1998 a group of researchers in Scole, Norfolk, England undertook experiments in physical research which included senior scientists, electrical engineers, astrophysicists, criminologists, psychologists and mathematicians who witnessed over a five year period proof that there was life after death. What they encountered in that five year period was absolutely astounding. The scientific experiments and their resultant outcome could prove beyond doubt that souls in different form survived after death and windows into other dimensions and your perceptions of what you perceive reality to be will be turned on its head.

To hear another theory about the soul's immortality, read this article.

I want to add that science is getting closer to proving an actual life after death is real.  My belief is based on cumulative experience and a collection of details from multiple sources that if 99% of the sources were wrong, the remaining 1% would be sufficient to validate my belief.    In addition to the Scole research and the thousands of NDE survivors, I want to include another group of people many would exclude in a scientific discussion on the afterlife.  Religious people would not embrace this category I'm sure, but I feel it must be included in the discussion so that all the bases are covered.

That group is psychic mediums.  It's true that most mediums are simply cold readers who ask skilled questions to create a belief they can communicate with the dead. I believe many mediums are frauds.  I want to mention them because I had a personal experience with one of them soon after the passing of my wife.  I agreed to meet the medium at her home office and I did not disclose my last name or any details whatsoever about my family and my wife.  The medium knew nothing but my first name.

To my surprise, this perfect stranger began naming people my wife knew, she mentioned two countries we had visited for cancer treatment, she mentioned my wife's dog, and she described all of our children exactly in the proper order and the special bond my wife had with our son.   When she named the two foreign countries out of the blue, I was stunned.   There was no way possible she could have known about Germany and the Philippines. I did not give any hints to her at any time.

When I left this private meeting, I felt a sense of peace.  I had to accept the possibility that this medium could actually communicate in some way with whatever form my wife's soul was in.  Before the meeting I was a skeptic, and when it was over, I was open minded to the possibility this was one of the few mediums who could connect with the other side.  There was no other explanation I could come up with based on my own experience.  The CIA has admitted that physics are real, but they do not understand the science that makes it possible.

I then began studying the work of psychic Edgar Cayce and especially medium George Anderson and his ability to communicate and dumbfound every psychologist who had tried to debunk him for years but were unsuccessful.    So after my own personal experience, and my own research into NDE and recent scientific studies, I can say without any hesitation that I believe it's possible we live on after the death of our body and rejoin some master field of collective consciousness.  Hopefully one day science will provide a more definitive answer.

One week before my wife passed and crossed over, she mentioned to me that she had a dream that my father came to visit her in a dream.  My father had passed only a few months before.   My father was the type of man who would do anything for anyone and in some way, I believe he was reaching out to my wife to comfort her and let her know he would be helping her make the transition to the other side.

Q: Is Reincarnation Real?
A:  While many scientists will dispel the notion of reincarnation as a myth, there are some credible experts out there who believe that it is a genuine phenomenon.
Reincarnation is generally a religious concept that implies that upon a select few’s deaths, their soul, mind or conscious is transferred to a new born. It sounds like the stuff of fantasy, but some scientists do believe that it is a feasible concept.
Dr Ian Stevenson, former Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and former chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology, dedicated the majority of his career to finding evidence of reincarnation, until his death in 2007.
Dr Stevenson claims to have found over 3,000 examples of reincarnation during his time which he shared with the scientific community.
In a study titled ‘Birthmarks and Birth Defects Corresponding to Wounds on Deceased Persons’, Dr Stevenson used facial recognition to analyse similarities between the claimant and their alleged prior incarnation, while also studying birth marks.
He wrote in his study: “About 35 per cent of children who claim to remember previous lives have birthmarks and/or birth defects that they (or adult informants) attribute to wounds on a person whose life the child remembers. The cases of 210 such children have been investigated.
As the body of evidence continues to grow and the numbers of examples grows into millions, the acceptance that reincarnation is real may prevail.

Q: Was America founded as a Christian nation?
A: No.  Most of the founding fathers influenced by the writings of Thomas Paine were actually Deist.   The founding fathers in their wisdom understood the dangers of the organized church and made it clear in all of their writings that their individual belief in God had nothing to do with any organized church or religious sect.

"Church" appears nowhere in the Constitution or any legal Founding documents, the term is religion. The State is to neither promote nor hinder the free exercise of or prohibit it, just as freedom of the press, speech, or peaceful assembly are protected in most circumstances. Be it Christianity or the plethora of New Age type dribble, the state is not to be involved or take sides. Certainly not use it to violate the individual liberties of its citizens.
All of our most basic rights have been under assault for the last 50 years and we must lead a counter attack on New Age irrationality and secular extremism. We must have an absolute separation of religion and state in politics, that includes protecting religious liberty from New Age religion flowing into politics."

I highly suggest reading the free pdf download of Thomas Paine's book THE AGE OF REASON for a better understanding of the belief's of our very wise founding fathers.   Simply Google "The Age of Reason pdf" and download this classic book.

Q: Does religion create a moral world?
A: In my opinion no.   While many people do find comfort in belief in God, and the afterlife in heaven, religion has divided more people and caused more bloodshed worldwide than all of the World Wars put together.   Muslims hating Christians, Muslims hating other Muslims, Jews hating Muslims, Christians hating Muslims, Protestant Christians hating Catholic Christians, Christians hating Mormon's, and almost all religions hating homosexuals.

All this hate because one fairy tale disagrees with another fairy tale.

And the sad part about all of this, is that it's all a collection of fairy tales that contain only bits and pieces of truth.   Written by men in far off lands who simply rewrote stories based on similar sounding stories created hundreds or thousands of years earlier.   What madness it is for people to follow these man made religions and call them the word of God.   It's absolutely insane.

Q: Why do Atheiest dismiss a Creator?
A:  Atheist live in a black and white world.  Atheism is arrogant refusal to think outside the box.  They are eager to accept Darwin's theory of evolution as fact, that all life came as a result of natural selection from a starting species to the end species that evolved over time.   However, they can never explain the new life forms that appeared that did not exist before that totally destroy the evolution argument.  On the other hand, Atheist such as the late Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, and historian Richard Carrier have done an excellent job proving the various books used in religion are either false, forged, or self-conflicting.  They have not made a provable case against intelligent design however.

Q:Does evil exist?
A: I believe it does and it's connected to money and unchecked power for the most part. Also mental imbalances due to dietary-chemical issues and poor social upbringing. This is what fuels the horror of child sex trafficking and pedophilia.

You may have heard the quote that goes like this: "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts Absolutely!"   I can tell you in all honesty that the root of all evil is absolutely the love of money and unbridled power.   This is especially true when applied to the various religious institutions of the world.   The power and influence these churches have had over the Centuries has caused great evil to flourish.

One need only turn on the television news to see the result of this misuse of power in Israel, Iraq, Iran,Turkey, Africa, etc.   Historically you will read of the Catholic church's support for the Crusades against Muslims, their support of Adolf Hitler and the violence in northern Ireland. The Jewish violent land grab in Palestine beyond agreed to borders, etc. etc. Numerous false flag events like the Gulf of Tonkin and 9-11 are examples of self-inflicted attacks blamed on others to foster war and more control by those in power.  All it takes is a little effort to research the facts and everything becomes more clear the deeper you search.

Power, wealth and the control of land and people can be traced back to a religious justification in most cases.   Exactly what it was designed for.

Does the following reference from the Hebrew old testament sound like a loving God you would follow:

"Hebrew Bible/Old Testament is overflowing with brutal religious violence, genocide and anti-Gentileism. A strong example of this is found at Numbers 31 which claims God gave orders to Moses to order the Israelite army to commit genocide against their neighbors, the Midianites. Verses 17-18 has Moses telling the Israelite army to murder the Midianite little boys along with the women who were not virgins and to keep the "women children" who were virgins for themselves." This order from Moses reads,

"Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves."

This scripture alone by God giving instructions to Moses proves he was an evil God and a monster.  It also proves that this passage was most likely written by an ordinary man with an agenda.   You cannot preach that God is merciful and loving and at the same breath believe the above scripture.   You have two choices:  (1) God is not forgiving and loving,  or (2) The bible is wrong and God did not make this statement to Moses.   Whichever you choose, both invalidate the church and it's authors.

My reason for writing this and my hope for the future

My purpose for sharing these thoughts in this simple format is to urge intelligent people to wake up and stop allowing yourselves to be herded like cattle.   Stop allowing mythology to control your actions.

It is my hope that my words will encourage you to always ask questions, and find your own answers using reason.  The internet is an amazing tool that has allowed more freedom of thought and the ability to find facts not easily available in the past.  I believe it's the reason why churches are losing membership in large numbers and this will continue as more and more people gain intelligence and begin to ask more and more questions.

By doing these things, it is my hope we can develop a more loving world that will tear down these false barriers religion uses to divide people and separate them from their wealth and happiness.  It's why I became a Deist.

"As a Deist I must allow that there are very many things that are not currently known to us through scientific inquiry and perhaps there is much that will never be known. . . . As a Deist I am very much content to say that I just don’t know when it comes to questions such as the existence (or lack thereof ) of an afterlife. . . . Perhaps science will someday validate the belief in an afterlife (or at least some form of consciousness which continues after physical death) and perhaps it may someday validate the power of prayer and other spiritual and religious practices. Nothing would please me more and although I personally stop short of faith I believe in keeping an open mind."   Brutus Tipton

"There is a happiness in Deism, when rightly understood, that is not to be found in any other system of religion. All other systems have something in them that either shock our reason, or are repugnant to it, and man, if he thinks at all, must stifle his reason in order to force himself to believe them."  Thomas Paine

Conclusion...

We become so swept up in our group identities — Republican, Democrat, Steelers fan, Cowboys fan, Caucasian, African American, middle class, upper class, vegetarian, carnivore, gay, straight, etc. — that we begin to automatically exclude, antagonize, and hold animosity toward people who aren’t in those groups.

Spreading love, kindness, and understanding is a mission that transcends the classification of any religion. It’s a way of life that anyone can practice at any time. It’s a universal religion that does not require belief in fairy tales and threats of death and punishment in some fiery hell.  It relies on your God given ability to reason.

ALL WE NEED IS LOVE! NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS, JUST LOVE!
